Welcome to the main gallery page at pteratory.com (pronounced 'TERRA-tory'). 'Ptera' is a latin root for 'wing' or 'winged' (PTERAdactyl, lepidoPTERA, etc.).
This is not an expert site; it's one man's view of things outside his door in Comal County, TX. Many thanks are due to the wonderful folks at Bugguide, MPG, TX-Butterfly Listserver, and so many other experts and enthusiasts far more knowledgeable than I, for their time and efforts in identifying many leps found here.
